Oakville is a town in Halton, located on Lake Ontario between Toronto and Hamilton.
It has been widely developed in recent years, and provides a wide range of housing types and neighborhoods. It boasts two beautiful downtown areas of small shops and lakeside living.Old Oakville is in the south east corner, with high end shops and fine restaurants. Many century homes surround this area making it a lovely neighbourhood to live in and walk to amenities.
Bronte Village is on the west shore of Oakville, offering many condos and townhouses to offer an opportunity for lakeside living near the Bronte Harbour. As you head north in Oakville, there have been many housing developments created over the years, such as Glen Abbey which is situated around a beautiful golf course.
Oakville’s north has been developed in recent years, adding a new state of the art Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, many new elementary and high schools, and lots of shops and restaurant

Schools
Oakville is part of the Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board. There are a large number of schools in this growing district. Oakville also has many private schools, including the long established private boarding school Appleby College.
Oakville is home to Sheridan College which offers many post-secondary programs, and it is also a short drive to McMaster University and Mohawk College in Hamilton, and only about 45 minutes away from Brock University in St. Catherines.
