Located at the bottom of the Niagara Escarpment, Dundas was formerly called Cootes Paradise.

 A beautiful area of rolling hills and mature trees, it is home to many potters and houses many McMaster University students and faculty.

Outdoor Parks and Recreational Activities

Nature enthusiasts must visit Tews Falls and view the 41 metre high ribbon waterfall.

 The Spencer Gorge Conservation Area is a wonderful place to hike and enjoy nature, particularly when the fall colours are at their height.

  Christie Lake Conservation area is a wonderful spot to have a canoe ride. 


Dundas is served by the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and Hamilton Wentworth Catholic School Board

It has a variety of elementary schools and high schools. Dundas is also a short thirty to forty minute drive from the University of GuelphUniversity of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University

McMaster University and Mohawk College are also a short drive away.
